I’m driven by the opportunity that exists within Health and Care in the UK today to deliver impactful transformation in how we place citizen wellbeing, in its broadest sense, at the centre of our Health and Social Care systems.

Currently a Director of Cloud21; leading the delivery of services and solutions which improve the digital maturity of Health and Social Care organisations, across the UK. I’m also a Governor of a large Academy, and the volunteer Head of Merseyside Scouts.

My experience includes roles in the UK and Internationally, across the public, private and third sectors. With wide-ranging experience in governance, policy and strategy development, transformation, leadership, delivery management, and finance; including at Board level, in both Executive and Non-Executive roles.

My career has been built upon a foundation as an NHS Clinical IT Analyst. With 17 years’ experience delivering complex strategic solutions, services and support operations for UK and internationally-based organisations. I was a key member of the System C Professional Services team; latterly leading their clinical team and establishing solution deployment operations. Within Amor Group, Lockheed Martin and Leidos, I undertook roles as Principal Consultant, Delivery Director, Portfolio Director and Head of Strategy – prior to taking on my current role at Cloud21, as a Director.

Through this work, I have supported health and care organisations to deliver ambitious transformation programmes, and have worked with customers including the Department of Health, NHS Digital, multiple NHS Trusts across England and the Ministry of Defence.

Alongside this, over the last 20 years, I have also built a successful career in governance, as a Non-Executive Director of organisations such as Hospice Africa, UK Scouts, Merseyside Scouts and St. Margaret’s CE Academy, where I soon complete a 5-year term of office as Chair of the Board.

These roles have allowed me to develop significant skills in leading and contributing to effective Boards providing good governance; supporting the development of strategy, objectives, advising, challenging, scrutinising and holding leaders to account, as a ‘critical friend’ and ‘business partner’, to ensure that strategic objectives are met in a sustainable way.

I’m an advocate of the third sector, and passionately believe that the social impact of volunteering changes lives and changes communities, and that the requirement for community services, delivered by members of those the communities has never been so great in the UK. For these reasons, I have generously volunteered my time for over 20 years, primarily to organisations supporting the development of skills for life in young people – ensuring they get the best start in life.
